Biography

Clarinda Costa Sequeira is a postdoctoral researcher in the Padrela research group, at the SSPC, Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, Ireland. Currently, Clarinda is working on the Controlled Nucleation for the Continuous Crystallization of Nanopharmaceuticals project funded by SFI (Science Foundation Ireland). Clarinda obtained her European PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her research interests focus on poorly water-soluble molecules, biopharmaceuticals, supercritical carbon dioxide-based drying techniques, polymeric/disaccharide microparticles, microfluidics, and oral and pulmonary drug delivery. Clarinda is also a member of the Portuguese Chemical Society and the Spanish-Portuguese Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society.
