Biography

Building on a diverse career in industrial R&D, management, training, and knowledge transfer, John’s current role at Britest Limited combines working as a technical consultant facilitator on process understanding studies using the Britest toolkit and looking after all aspects of Britest’s communications activities. Both at Britest since 2015 and previously as a project manager at C-Tech Innovation, he has extensive experience in UK and EU collaborative innovation projects and programmes, predominantly in projects furthering innovation for waste minimization, resource efficiency, the circular economy and sustainability. He is currently Work Package Lead for Communication, Dissemination and Change Labs in the 2022-2026 ETERNAL project under Horizon Europe. John holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, a PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Durham, and is a Chartered Chemist.
