Biography

Mark Wheeler has been working in the cleanroom industry for more than 20 years. His journey began in the late 90s, learning the ropes by supporting his father Ray Wheeler at cleanroom consumables supplier Guardline Technology.

After Guardline was acquired by Micronclean, Mark continued to work for the latter in an international sales & marketing role and building on his growing knowledge of cleanroom operations before returning to work alongside father Ray at fledgling cleanroom construction company Guardtech Cleanrooms in the early 2000s.

As Commercial Director, Mark has played a key role in restructuring the business as the Guardtech Group – which is now comprised of Cleanroom Solutions (complex turnkey construction), Guardtech Cleanrooms (modular systems), CleanCube (portable cleanrooms), Isopod (quick-assembly pods) and Isoblok (pre-fabricated units). The Group also provides Servicing and Decontamination contracts, as well as full furniture & equipment fit-outs, to complete Guardtech’s holistic, comprehensive, all-bases-covered cleanroom offering.

As a result of the strategic restructuring, rebranding, product innovation, research & development and persistent quest for excellence, Mark has helped the Group grow from 10 members of staff in 2020 to more than 50 in 2024, with turnover rising from £2.5 million to £12 million.
