Synopsis

Assessing a company’s comfort with automation and determining their automation landing zone, are key elements of today’s pharmaceutical manufacturing.  Whether it be a new capital investment or optimising existing processes, it is important to understand a company’s current manufacturing automation systems, prior to discussing future upgrades and system expansions.  This form of assessment provides the necessary structure to evaluate how far a company needs to climb the automation ladder, to ensure full EHS & cGMP compliance, in the most cost & time effective manner.  This presentation will explore the key automation questions, which need to be considered early in a pharma project lifecycle, typical automation systems and advances in industrial systems such as big data, VR & MES customisation.
