Synopsis

The biological effects of nature identical cannabinoids are widely known.

Therefore a process at Symrise was developed for enantiomerically pure (+)-cannabinoids (e.g. (+)-cannabidiol, (+)-cannabidivarin) to satisfy the regulatory need.

Furthermore to date unknown derivatives of these (+)-cannabinoids were developed and their biological effects are currently under investigation with surprising results which makes these new variation of cannabinoids also attractive new API targets.
