Synopsis

When choosing the most appropriate dosage form for an early phase clinical trial, quality, cost and speed are all important elements to consider. Establishing the potential of a new chemical entity for future trials in a timely manner is critical, however the batch-to-batch variability of the early-stage API synthesis can make reliable drug product manufacturing challenging. Being able to employ a drug-in-capsule strategy will ensure that time to clinic is fast tracked and costs are controlled. In this presentation the solutions to overcoming these challenges and the further benefits of drug-in-capsule manufacture will be discussed.
