Synopsis

In the last few years, the label HPAPI (highly potent API) seems to have become the “normal” acronym for potent and toxic pharmaceutical substances, when in fact, this term should probably be reserved for a somewhat smaller number of truly highly potent and toxic substances.
The presentation will explore these terms, API hazard more widely and how critical hazard information underpins all aspects of API projects; from risk assessment, facility design, control/containment equipment selection, worker protection and everything else.
